Commercial Breathing Spaces

Several people ask me what do you actually do, and a few who know me from the real estate, ask me how is that you help make such good building and the concepts in it. I always tell them it all starts from scratch (Sketch), and they fail to understand it.

The beginning of another project in NOIDA -India, gave a chance to share the experience with all, to share the concept from the beginning. In this project would share the experience thru the whole process, which my team takes, and if possible in the next coming two years, through this medium bring close to many the processes involved in making a building what it is.

Here would also like to add that, there are many who make building, shall try and also explain in the process, how not to make a building. The first and the basic rule to keep- in mind is that, do not build a building but build space, and ensure that space you build is a breathing space. The basic difference here is that in space and breathing space you will find the difference of House and a Home.

A friend of mine own a luxury hotel and on seeing the rooms of the hotel I had commented that these room lack the warmth of a home and a few changes in would make a a lot of difference, would try and discuss those finer points too during this process. If those finer points are taken into consideration, the guests would feel more comfortable, and choose and recommend the same place on each visit. This can be best explained if you look at your own house, you will find that there are some spots in it which are your favourite, the more such spots the more comfort for the individual.

Coming back to the NOIDA-Project.
It was this August 16th, 2012, when it all started from scratch the first sketch was made.

So as you can see it was clear that there would be ground and first floor and the two towers which would be joined with each other too. It seemed good and the page was turned.

So the two towers started to take some shape, the concept was building up. Pages turned again and more got added to the concept.

Now the building was making space and was also trying to join at places. It was time to turn the pages and work it further, more details had to be thought at ..

It may seem to many as only four sheets and a few sketch, but for us it was a whole day work, and now time to take the concept on the Drawing Board. With software like Autocad, it is much easier and faster, and a few more hours into it, and the basic design was out.

The basic working on the total area, the FAR calculated, and spaces worked out, and what we have, the building would have eleven floor each tower. and double basement, specially dedicated for parking.

Now what was to be thought was do we go for two equal size towers or two different height-ed towers.
Here would request for suggestions, and suggestions carry awards too.
